01 Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DevSpace, a collaborative development platform designed for developers, creators, and teams to build, share, and innovate together. By accessing or using DevSpace, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.
DevSpace is committed to fostering a safe, productive, and respectful environment for all users. Our platform provides development environments, collaborative tools, and resources to help you create amazing projects.
DevSpace reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes signifies acceptance. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notifications.
02 Account Creation & Responsibilities
To access DevSpace features, you must create an account. The following conditions apply:
- You must be at least 13 years old (users under 18 require parental consent).
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration.
- Use a valid email address for account verification.
- Choose a username that is appropriate and does not impersonate others.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Enable two-factor authentication when available. Report unauthorized access to [email protected].
03 Acceptable Use Policy
DevSpace is built on trust and respect. Users must adhere to these guidelines:
- No Cryptocurrency Mining: Running miners, blockchain validators, or resource-intensive mining is strictly prohibited.
- No Malicious Activities: Do not host, distribute, or develop malware, viruses, or ransomware.
- No Illegal Content: Do not upload content that violates laws, including pirated software or unauthorized copyrighted material.
- No Harassment or Abuse: Harassment, hate speech, doxxing, or threatening behavior will not be tolerated.
- No Spam or Phishing: Do not use DevSpace for spam, phishing, or deceptive practices.
- No Unauthorized Access: Do not attempt to access other users' workspaces or data without permission.
Violations may result in workspace suspension, account termination, and reporting to authorities when necessary.
04 User Content & Intellectual Property
DevSpace allows users to create, upload, and share code, documentation, designs, and media files. By uploading content, you represent that you own or have the necessary rights to share it.
Content Ownership: You retain all ownership rights to your content. DevSpace does not claim ownership of your projects, code, or creations.
License to DevSpace: By sharing content publicly or with collaborators, you grant DevSpace a limited license to host, store, and display that content as necessary to provide our services.
DevSpace reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms or infringes on intellectual property rights. Repeated violations may result in account termination.
05 Collaborative Features & Conduct
When working with others, please observe these guidelines:
- Respect Collaboration: Treat team members and contributors with respect and professionalism.
- Clear Communication: Communicate clearly about permissions, contributions, and project goals.
- Credit Contributors: Acknowledge contributions and give proper attribution.
- Privacy in Shared Spaces: Respect access permissions set by workspace owners.
Workspace owners have the right to manage collaborators and set access permissions. Unauthorized access to private workspaces is strictly prohibited.
06 Workspace Management & Data Retention
- Inactive Workspaces: Workspaces inactive for more than 90 days may be archived or deleted. You will receive notifications before deletion.
- Storage Limits: Each account has storage limits based on plan. Exceeding limits may result in restricted functionality.
- Backups: You are strongly encouraged to maintain your own backups of critical data and code.
- Data Export: You can export your data at any time using tools in your account settings.
⚠️ DevSpace is not responsible for data loss due to user error, account violations, or failure to maintain backups. Regular backups are strongly recommended.
07 Subscriptions & Billing
DevSpace offers free and premium subscription tiers. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete billing information.
- Authorize automatic renewal charges unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Notify us of any billing disputes within 30 days of the charge.
Subscriptions automatically renew. You can cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. DevSpace reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
08 Security & Privacy
- Use strong, unique passwords for your DevSpace account.
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for enhanced security.
- Never share your account credentials, API keys, or access tokens.
- Review workspace permissions regularly and remove unnecessary access.

09 API Usage & Integrations
When using our APIs, you must:
- Comply with API rate limits and usage guidelines.
- Do not use APIs to circumvent platform restrictions or abuse resources.
- Keep API keys secure and never share them publicly.
- Attribute DevSpace appropriately when building integrations or tools.
Abuse of API endpoints may result in API access suspension or account termination.
10 Limitation of Liability
DevSpace provides services "as is" without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- DevSpace is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
- DevSpace is not responsible for user-generated content that may contain bugs or vulnerabilities.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to DevSpace in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11 Termination
DevSpace reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Reasons include:
- Violation of the Acceptable Use Policy
- Fraudulent activity or payment disputes
- Repeated copyright infringement
- Harassment or abuse of other users
You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, you will have 30 days to export your data before it is permanently deleted.
12 Feedback & Contributions
We value your feedback. By submitting suggestions or feature requests, you grant DevSpace the right to use, implement, and incorporate your suggestions without any obligation or compensation. Thank you for helping make DevSpace better for everyone.
13 Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. Before initiating legal action, parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiation for at least 30 days.
